Topic: The Trainings of a Heavenly Man
Minister: Pastor Rose Olaniyan
(John 16.33) – “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” – As long as we are in this world, there will be tribulations. Though we don’t know what way they will come, we must be prepared for it.
(1Thess 5:15) – “See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.” – We all will experience tribulations at different points in time, and no one will be spared from it because it’s necessary for our growth and becoming.
(Romans 12:20) “Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.” – The coals of fire here are instruments for salvation. We are expected to love regardless of how we are being treated. As we keep loving them, we heap coals of fire on them that eventually lead to the salvation of their soul. No one is exempt from tribulation, but we are expected to walk in all towards all.
(1Kings 10:1-5) – The Queen of Sheba, after hearing a lot about King Solomon, decided to come visit him to see for herself if the sayings about him were true. She came and met everything and everywhere organised; everyone was rightly positioned. Although she could have informed King Solomon of her visit, he wouldn’t have been able to determine the exact time of her arrival due to the far distance she was coming from, which took her journeying for several months. Seeing this greatly impressed her, because she arrived at a time when they weren’t expecting her. She didn’t even hesitate to leave all of the abundant gifts she had taken along with her for King Solomon.
Sunday service begins at 8 am. Can it be said that the Lord was able to meet you, rightly positioned at your duty post at that time? We should not come to church late and come in smiling, hugging your brothers and sisters, without displaying any iota of soberness. We must really fear God. If there is no rule, there is no sin!
(1Cor 12:14-18) We are all in this church for a purpose. Our presence in church before the service begins is also for a purpose, even as members. As we increase in number, with an increase in the different members of the body, everyone taking their rightful position in the body, we must be aware of our responsibility and not just relegating things to our Pastor.
While approaching our Thanksgiving service, can this be a part of our Thanksgiving, that we come to church meetings early? Thanksgiving isn’t just about being healed from sicknesses, but rather about being able to love your brother without any reservation; coming to church early is thanksgiving.
We must apply the same level or even a higher level of the discipline we portray in terms of our attendance and punctuality at work, towards church attendance. Life is formed in the church, and you and I are the church. We can’t be so intentional with attendance at work and be negligent about our attendance in church.
At the end of the year, will we be able to say that we have been faithful in our attendance and punctuality at church? Even as the church increases, we must be good examples to others in this regard. No one is exempt from this, whether you are married, single or a nursing mother; we all are mandated to attend meetings early. The enemy is waging an intense warfare with us, and we mustn’t give him room. Ask the Holy Spirit for help, and He will be so willing to help you.
Interpretation of Tongues 1
“For I say, this is not mere talk, this is a petition for labourers to come up, for indeed the harvest is truly plenteous, without labourers it will be wasted, without labourers many will be slain, without labourers there will be wastages.
Oh, this is a prayer for the Lord of the harvest, this is a calling for the Lord of the harvest, it’s ringing in my ears as a petition, do not take it as mere talk stemming from zeal. No, no, this is my own zeal; it’s my own zeal that will consume my handmaiden even to petition more.
For indeed I desire that my harvest is preserved, that my harvest is kept. I do not sow in vain, I want to reap many, but I want a harvest that will be preserved by many labourers. I have brought so many resources to raise you as comforters. You should be able to comfort the weak, support the feeble-minded, you should be able. At this time, you should be able, for you will not be able to if you are still weak or feeble-minded.
I have even ordained my servant to rebuke sharply, so that you may be sound in faith. I have ordained her to rebuke sharply, take the rebuke. For your destiny as labourers is tied to your turning even at my rebuke. Take it, take it, do not excuse yourself. For indeed, she said it rightly so, you are inexcusable. It’s not my joy to bring you into condemnation, but I want to bring you up to see the demands, to see the expectations.
Yea there are many, many harvests; they are like sheep having no shepherd, but you have a shepherd, you should be able to help them; they ought not to be scattered; they ought to be gathered, but you must be gathered to be a gatherer. I want to raise many labourers for my harvest; this is a petition, not a talk out of zeal. It’s ringing in my ears. It’s a calling for labourers, and as the Lord of the harvest, I am ready to respond.
For as many that will turn, you will be my response, as many that will change, you are my response to the call for harvesters. It’s a house of harvesters, it’s a house for harvesters.”
Interpretation of Tongues 2
“Sit tight, for there be many days of ignorance which I have winked at, I have winked at it. For an adversary is going around you, and I will not have you ignorant any longer. None should remain simple at the end of this. I am bringing my light, allow it to enter, and you will be turned from your simplicity.
For you see, I have taken coals set to purify many. I am ready to undo many filthy garments; I am ready to renew many filthy garments. That accusation will stop concerning you, but you must not be ignorant, for your adversary has many, many devices, and it’s in those areas where you are not paying attention, those areas where you are sitting casually. I am saying sit tight like a warrior, like one who is ready, who is waiting, for your enemy is lurking around, and he is seeking whom he may devour.
There are many people he can devour because they are ignorant, but I want to change that narrative. Rather, you will be the devourer; you will devour his intention. For you must be sensitive, you must be aware, you must be sober. I am awakening you to vigilance. For this reason, I am sweeping away filth.
I am sweeping away the things that make your camp filthy, easily accessible. Even for this enemy, I see a time when he will no longer gain entrance; he will not even be able to enter through the door of your camp, because many are vigilant, many will stay in at the gate. Many will take the battle to him at the gate. For you must be awake, you must be diligent and vigilant. You must not show much diligence even to things that don’t matter.
You must not continue to spend your money on that which satisfieth not. You must not continue to labour for that which is not satisfying. There is a meat that I give, I want you to show much more diligence, much more hunger, much more perseverance beyond your pay cheque that you receive in the natural. I have a pay cheque, and it has your names on it. I come with a reward, but I look at the works.
For I am a just judge, I am a righteous judge, I give to every man according to his works shall be. I do not look at faces. I do not prefer one over another because of their faces. I look at the heart, I look at the works that have come from the heart. Enough with the hypocrisy, enough with the eye service. I am coming with a reward for those who are walking from the heart. Sit tight, an enemy is lurking around. “Sit tight”, saith the Lord.

One of the best inheritances we can give to our children is coming to church early. Our children are observing our attitude towards God and our attendance at meetings. Don’t say you are too weak; you are not a weak woman. (Phil 4:13)
Marriage is a huge responsibility; your child shouldn’t be the reason you are coming to church late. Marriage and children are a blessing; they shouldn’t be a reason for you to be in church late. What attitude towards God are you portraying to your children?
We all need to wake up. Our children are the next generation that will fight with the enemy at the gate. How will they learn to attend church meetings early when they don’t see their parents do so? We must also be responsible at home, and not just in church alone, because charity begins at home. The way we handle our things determines how we handle the things of God, and the LORD will not hand over His things to someone who isn’t disciplined, because God is disciplined. A heavenly man comes to church early.
(John 13:16) – “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.”
Can you say to your brother that he is greater than you? Can you put this into action through how you relate or behave towards your brothers and sisters? For the woman who is married, can you display an attitude towards your husband that depicts that he is greater than you are?
Satan is not happy about the home, which is the major reason why you should love your husband. The husband is the head of the home, and as such should be seen as greater than he wife. Do you nurture thoughts concerning your brother that reveal that he is greater than you? This is what makes you a heavenly man and woman.
A servant is not greater than his master; so it is for a wife to her husband. The wife is to submit to her husband (Eph 5:22-24). Likewise, you can’t be greater than your parents. Every instruction given to you in the house should be kept. You are not greater than anyone, nor can you be greater than your mother or father. There is an order in the spirit that must be kept.
Jesus was an example of these; He said What I see my Father do, I do. He came down and ripped himself of all reputation. He came low, not seeing Himself equal with God. (John 5:19, Phil 2:7). When women see themselves as greater than their husbands, then what do you raise your child with?
We were taught about heavenly things; things like submission, obedience, meekness, longsuffering, lowliness, and love. These are what they call heavenly things; they are what heavenly beings wear. It’s not in your ability to weep in prayer, or your ability to pray in tongues, but rather your submission; these are what they do in heaven.
There are families in heaven; Jesus doesn’t talk about himself, but the Father, while the Holy Spirit talks about Jesus and God, but He is great as they are great. To be great, you must come low in your thought and in your attitude.
As a woman, can you go on your knees to make peace with your husband? Only a heavenly woman can do this. A heavenly brother or sister can come down on his or her knees to apologise to the younger one.
Heavenly beings are meek beings; they are pure and transparent. You can see the inside of them. We are full of darkness, but God is drawing us into a place of openness, where our hearts are transparent, our character is exposed to His corrections, and our love toward our brothers and sisters flows freely.
Mummy Helen once said, A woman that is worthy of emulation is one who is submissive to her husband, and that keeps her home. A woman must keep her home and fight for her family.
If you are at loggerheads with your husband, stop it. Love your husband, submit to him. Every wife is called to serve her husband. If she will prosper in this life, she must have a servant heart disposition towards her husband, that is what she is called for. It won’t be easy, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Likewise husbands, you can love your wife (Phil. 4:13).
Wives ought to make the home a suitable place for their husbands and children to live and gain life. There is war outside; there shouldn’t be war in the home too. The home should be a safe haven for the family.
Interpretation of Tongues 3
Holy, harmless, Sons of God without rebuke. Holy, harmless children of God without rebuke. Holy husband, harmless wife, children of God without rebuke. Holy wife, harmless husband, children of God without rebuke. Holy children, harmless family, children of God without rebuke.
That is my mystery that will undo the wickedness of the adversary, that is my mystery that wins warfare. For you see, the coming together of a man and woman in holy matrimony is to bring forth a mystery. The parenting of a father and a mother over children is to bring forth a mystery, a mystery that will undo even the wickedness of the adversary. You are all for my mystery, even for the unfolding of my mystery. You should be mysterious to the adversary.
He should not be able to predict you. He should not be able to know your next move or next action. You must be unpredictable, you must be mysterious, and I am doing that right now by giving you my mystery. For I want to raise you holy, I want to raise you harmless, I want to raise you my children, without rebuke, without offense, children raised even in an atmosphere of peace.
Peace is the result of a warfare won. Win the warfare, win warfare over your family, win warfare over your atmosphere, and you will come to peace. There is a peace that I give, not as the world gives. There is a peace that I give, not the one that money gives. There is a peace that I give, even the peace that I give, not the one that the pleasures of life give.
There is a peace that comes by understanding. Understanding of how I will respond in situations, an understanding of how I will honour my brother, honour my husband, and love my wife. For indeed, the way I regard the church is that I laid down my life, I washed her with the washing of water by the word. The way the church is supposed to be disposed is to come under me.
For you see, that’s the mystery that bruises the head of the adversary, and I want to smash that head; I want to use you to smash that head. For indeed that is what I said even in the beginning, that by your feet, you will bruise the head of this one. You should come into my mystery. I am giving you a mystery. You should be mysterious even for the adversary, saith the Lord.
Message Continues..
Satan is against homes, especially here in Ikorodu. The spirits here in Ikorodu don’t like families, and because we are here, they will come against us, but we will overcome them.
Just as mummy Lilian said, we will war, we will overcome, and we will win the dragon. We must propose in our heart, my family will stay together, and we will overcome Satan by warring with him and winning the battle.
We must drive Satan far from our homes by pushing him away. It’s possible to have a blissful family and a lovely home.
John 3:30 – “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
It isn’t just about declaring this; there are a lot of processes to it. You must decrease as a wife, and your husband must increase. You must decrease, and your brother increase. When the demand is laid on us, we must say to ourselves, I must decrease and the brethren in my house must increase.
How do we do this? By not taking yourself to be anything. But rather preferring your sister to yourself. These are part of the heavenly man’s conversation, preferring your brother to yourself, giving all to your sister and having nothing to yourself. You should look like your brethren.
Judas Iscariot had to identify Jesus with a kiss because his brethren had become a part of him and had rubbed off on them. (Matt 26:48-49)
All of these are what make us a heavenly father, mother, brother and sister; being lowly.
We will hear and do until we become like God. You become by following Him. It’s not about the prayer, but it’s in doing, you must follow every instruction given to you until you become.
We must seek to become like the lamb. We should want to become like Jesus. He stripped Himself of every reputation and glory. Likewise, we must strip ourselves of every self-glory and reputation.
The Lord must help us to obey His commandment, and to be raised into heavenly women; one who submits to her husband, who is meek, lowly, suffers long, loves her household and loves the way of the Lord.
Closing Summary by Pst. Laide Olaniyan
In our day-to-day activities, there are areas unknown to us, where Satan cheats us. This has been even in days of old. For instance, it took the prophet Malachi to tell the priests and children of Israel about areas where Satan was cheating them, because they did not know. The Israelites and the priests thought they were pleasing God, but they were dishonouring Him so God had to open the eyes of His prophet to show how Satan was cheating them in their daily lives. (Mal. 1:6-14, 2:1-5).
For instance, the Israelites and the priests in the book of Malachi give their kings and rulers perfect gifts, but they give unworthy gifts to the Lord (Mal. 1:8), which they could not give their natural leaders. This is a deception by Satan to bring them unknowingly from blessings into curses. (Mal. 2:2)
As a people, it’s a good thing that we desire the revelation of God’s word. However, we must be mindful that the essence of revelation is to show us where we are, what we are doing, and reveal areas where Satan is taking advantage of us.
The warfare of this season will be won through diligence and discipline, expressed in our service to the Lord and service to one another. We need to revisit some of the things we feel we have outgrown, particularly around house chores. This is because these are places where Satan has used to weaken us.
Sometimes, the reason we feel weak is that we neglected a commandment, such as coming to Church early or doing chores we think we have outgrown. God is showing us the hypocrisy of our hearts to show us we don’t reverence Him according to the degree of light that heaven has shown us.
Satan is good at disguising. He can hide and mask certain areas of our lives from us. Hence, David begged God to expose himself; Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting (Psa. 139:23-24). It is mercy for God to show us where we are falling short and not doing well.
Marriage should make us more committed, dedicated and efficient with the things of God, because it’s a blessing and should not be burdensome; – “How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?” (Deut. 32:30). If marriage is reducing our commitment, then we are indirectly saying it’s a burden and not a blessing. Marriage should multiply our strength as believers, and if it does not, then something is wrong.
Singles and widows are not exempt either; in whatsoever state we find ourselves, we should be fervent in serving the Lord (Rom. 11:12). Paul talked about widows washing the feet of the saints. (1 Tim. 5:10) Age should not rob us of blessings (1 Tim. 5:3-4). We should be meek enough to serve the Lord regardless of our state or age. We are not too old for blessings. Sometimes it is when we engage in service for God that we break into revelation, understanding and judgment.
We shouldn’t leave room for Satan, if not, He will have might over us in places we think are not connected. We must give diligence to serving the brethren (Gal. 5:13); this is how we lay down our lives. When you are serving your brother, you are serving Christ (Col. 3:23-24, Matt. 25:40). If Jesus were here physically, how would we do things? If we do things better in His presence than in His absence, then it’s not true service but eye service.
Our hearts must not grow cold because of familiarity or love. We can still pursue hard after the Lord when we are elderly. We should multiply in devotion and service to the Lord; these things matter! Our attitude at times shows that we despise the Lord in our hearts, but we should fight and strive not to despise the things the Lord is giving us. We must correct our ways, even as God shows us mercy. We should be mindful of the Lord; in meekness and humility, serving one another without hypocrisy and guile (Phil 2:3).
There is that which heaven is expecting of us, and we must meet this expectation. These are the training of a heavenly man; this is how Jesus was raised. He was disciplined, and it was His manner to arrive early at the synagogues (Luke 4:16-17). If He were late, they would not have given Him the book of Isaiah to read. There was a discipline that guided Jesus while on earth, which raised Him into a heavenly man; there is a path He took consistently from the ages of 12 to 30.
Discipline and diligence are part of God’s demand for our progress in the spirit. In the book of Acts, when a new Apostle was ordained, they chose from men who had always been with Jesus regularly. Consistency and giving attendance in church is key to certain promotions in God (Acts 1:21-26).
THE END.
