Message: The Hunger for the Person of God

Minister: Pastor Laide Olaniyan

Tongues and Interpretation (1)

I am boring

I am digging, I am excavating

I will dig you, I bore you again

I will exhume things from your soul even by the water I will give

I will do a work of digging, exhuming and excavating and then I will spring from the depth

Even your deep must call to my deep

I will give you a heart clean

Clean by the boring of the waters and the springing forth of the waters

For you are destined for everlasting life and it is the water that will guide you there

For places where there are murky waters, I will bring forth clean waters from you

For the same way a vine will not bring forth figs, I will bring forth clean waters from you.

No longer will you bring forth murky waters

You will spring forth clean waters

I will dig a well

Ye, I am already digging until I get to your depth.

It is by digging that you will spring forth clean waters.

(Mark 4:4-20) The parable of the sower is applicable at every level of growth and every state of heart. Pastor Thompson once said that depending on the word that is being sown in our heart, at various points in our journey, we can experience a way side heart, a stony heart, a thorny heart and a good heart. Concerning some messages or words, when we become fruitful for it, we are no longer a way side heart, but another gospel can come and then our heart is a way side heart. We never truly escape everything at once. For every word that comes, our heart can be found in any of the heart states and we would be deceiving ourselves to presume that our heart is always well prepared for the word.

There are certain things you don’t touch until their season because they are sacred. Even Jesus knew He didn’t give us what is perfect; we are to grow into perfection That is one of the disciplines of the disciples to be able to grow into perfect light. We should hold unto what God has given us until something more happens, until He gives us something more that would guide us into the final cumulation of all things.

(1 Cor. 13:10-12)“But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”

When God is committing more to us, God has to deal with our hearts again because the heart that prospered with an allocation of the faith of the Gospel can become the same heart that is locked against another dispensation of the gospel. We must not be presumptuous as believers.

(Psa. 19:12-13) – Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. 13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.”

Being presumptuous is dangerous. Presumption is an error in judgement where we differ from the Lord, where we can almost swear with our life that we are right based on our present light and understanding. Sins of transgression is building again things that have once been destroyed. Sin is a transgression of the law. A presumptuous sin is a sin of a servant, who presumes to know the will of the master, rather than seek to have an understanding of the demands of the master . Many of us are not yet innocent, we are culpable in the spirit and the thing about presumptuous sins is that we are comfortable in it.

Most times, the Holy Ghost stirs our heart to bring us to a consciousness, an awareness into something, to bring us to a place of judgement but somewhere, we are oblivious to the nudging of the spirit due to our inability to respond to the promptings and life of the spirit.

(1 Sam. 16:8-10) Man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart. Samuel was a servant and a prophet but he was still blinded and far from the judgement of God. Samuel had to be schooled again in the school of discernment. (1 Sam. 3:4-7) Samuel did not yet know the Lord but could hear the Lord. One of the things that they first do to us is to open our ears to help us hear the Lord. The Lord here means witness of the Spirit. Every born again child of God should be able to hear the voice of the Lord. (Rom. 8:16) – “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God…”. (John 10:27) – “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me…” Every child of God is quickened in the spirit and is empowered to hear the voice of the Lord. You don’t need to be a prophet or to be in the five fold ministry, you don’t need any anointing save that you are quickened in your spirit which opens up your spirit to pick up the signals of the Lord. One may hear the voice but not be able to fully discern it like Samuel picked it and ran to Eli in 1 Sam. 3:9. Until you believe that the Lord can speak to you which God does, clarity would not come on many occasions.

We must be able to distinguish the voice of the Lord from many other voices so we don’t take the voice of the Lord as “Something told me” The reason why the Lord is leading us is not particularly to deliver us from situations, but God speaks to us to give life however, initially God would begin to instruct us about our natural life. The very essence of the leading of the Spirit is to guide us into all truth. Truth is not facts about situations, rather are persons of the Godhead.

The witness of the spirit is born in every child of God but there is somewhere they are leading us to and there is someone they are guiding us to and we must not lose sight of that person which is God Himself. Because you hear God and hear Him accurately doesn’t mean you know God. Hearing God and knowing God are two different things. It takes age to fully know the Lord (1 Sam. 3:7)“Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was the word of the Lord yet revealed unto him.” . The priests were the only few people handling the word of God physically because the scroll was always in the Temple where Samuel was sleeping . That you are a student of the word doesn’t mean you have revelation of the word. That you can quote the bible, does not mean it has been revealed to you.

(Isa. 29:11-12) – And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: 12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.” – Two things are required, unsealing and then learning, you can be learned and the scroll is unsealed but if you are unlearned, it doesn’t matter if the scroll is sealed or not , you can’t access it. We need to be learned in the spirit, learned enough to read. There is school of reading; school of reading is not the usual school where letters are taught.

(Rev. 1: 3) –Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”.

(Rev. 5:3-4) – “And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.”

It was only the Lamb that had the stature, the learning to unseal and the stature to read. One needs a level of growth and learning to understand the book. If they don’t unseal the book, the wisdom of reading will never be given. Every book of growth needs to be unsealed. (Heb. 10:7) Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” – Each volume of the book must be unsealed and then must be read and not just to be read but to also be able to do. You will not know the Lord if the word is not revealed to you.

(Col. 1:25-27) – Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory… ”

From Adam to Paul, nobody could understand the secret that was hidden in God’s word. The only shot that man has to glory is Christ in you. There was something God could not tell Moses, because the stature of Christ was not crystalized in them. Moses was a type of everlasting person because Moses fulfilled a type of Christ. (Heb. 11:24-26) There was a partaking of the sufferings of Christ that Moses partook in the Old Testament but it wasn’t all. Christ is not a New Testament concept but has been from the Old Testament.

There is one secret that is crucial in seeing Glory, as much as Moses followed the Lord, there was something Moses did not fully come into, he did not come into the glory of the New Testament, the best the Lord could show Moses was a shadow because there was a secret in God that anyone that would come into the glory of God should have which is Christ, the only hope. (2 Cor. 3:12-13) The only shot at glory is the formation of Christ. The key to glory is in the word but it is hidden.

Tongues and Interpretation (2)

Turning point.

It’s a time to turn back to the Lord

It’s time to turn back to your maker so you can see.

It’s a time for your heart to turn so you can see the focus for this season.

Your heart need to turn

It is a template of worship

Your heart needs to turn from the things that it loves, for what your heart loves is its treasure

It’s a time the Lord is calling for your treasure.

It’s a time to serve me with all of your heart, your being and your devotion

I am demanding that you offer your devotion, even that treasure of your heart that you idolize

It is time to sacrifice your treasure.

It is time to offer those idols, those idols where Jesus should be your idol

What are you looking for?

It is time to ask yourself this question? To ask your heart what are you looking for? What are you living for?

It is time for you to be serious about your life, to be intentional about what you are looking for, what you are seeking for and what your treasure is.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also

The perpetual crying of your heart is where your treasure is

Ye can I be your treasure?

This is the Lord calling. Ye, turn to me.

Turn to Him that created you.

Turn to me

Turn to me

Let Jesus be your Idol.

Let your heart turn to the Lord.

I am the idol of He that created you, of Him that formed you

Now is the time of salvation

Let your heart turn to the Lord

I need a turning point so turn to the Lord

Idolize Jesus by killing your image

You cannot know the Lord except the word be revealed to you.Ephesians 1:15-17 “15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him…”

To come to knowledge, you must have grown from being a child. (Isa. 28:9) — “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.” These people have been weaned from the milk and drawn from the breast. (Eph. 1:17) — “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.” — Paul was not asking for a Spirit that would give them revelation in the Knowledge until they had grown. God gave Paul the skill to see the quote of giving God in scriptures. You cannot just read your bible and get God. Is it good to read your Bible? Yes, however, the actual keys to get God were given to a person to show to the church. To get knowledge, you must have grown .

Without revelation, we won’t know what to do. (Deut. 29:29) — “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.” — We won’t know how to please God or make covenant unless it is revealed. If we won’t do all this, we will never find the person of God. We need revelation that would make us know God. We need to make profit out of the things that are being taught. The reason why knowledge is given is so that we can find God. The knowledge of God is not God, but we need the knowledge of God to find God. We cannot know God outside of His knowledge. Knowledge should be a guide for us to find God but even the knowledge is hidden, it has to be revealed to us. That it has been revealed doesn’t mean God has been found.

(1 Cor. 13:9) We know in part means that our knowledge of God is not yet concrete in Christ. There is a Spirit in charge supervising the dissemination of the knowledge of God. Not many are looking for God, Paul mentioned this in 1 Cor. 15: 34“Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.”.

(1 Cor. 1:4-5)“I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; 5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge…”

Knowledge of God is not what you are born with as a believer. The Holyspirit is needed to find God. (Col. 2:3) “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Knowledge is a great treasure however, knowledge is a person

(Prov. 2:1-5) The knowledge of God is not easy to come by. That you have found the knowledge of God does not mean you have laid hold on God.

(2 Cor. 4:5-6)“For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ….”

(Heb. 1:3)“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high…”

One can have the light of knowledge but still be far from the person of God. One must never presume that breakthrough in knowledge is the same thing as apprehension of their person. The real breakthrough is that we are closer to His person than when we first started. One can just be excited about the word of righteousness but there is no daily movement and labor of the soul. There should be a burden in the house to have the persons of Jesus. Peter had the name of Jesus as an allocation and he was able to give it on demand. (Acts 3:6) The real blessing was not the miracle but the person Jesus Christ. God wants to give us things that are more precious than gold.

(Mark 4:17) —And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended” — We can get offended because of the word. Every level of the word comes with its own persecutions and afflictions and a soul can get offended when the affliction or persecution of the word received comes. The word proves us and we shouldn’t flee when the heat gets too much.

(Mark 4:18-19) —And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.” — Don’t think you have overcome the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches except certain situations that heaven permits to show face has tried your heart. The commandment we are given is according to the covenant we are handling, when handling the covenant of life and peace, we are given the commandment of Christ (Mal. 2:5). When we come into the realm of life everlasting, we are given commandment of everlasting life. Everlasting commandment is the Father’s commandment. (Matt. 5:41-48) All of the beatitudes are the Father’s commandment and the Father’s commandment is to bring us into perfection. We can’t say we are handling the commandment of life everlasting and not handle covenant of life everlasting. There are commandments that the Father Himself keeps.

There is lust for other things and they are also called lust for other desires. One of the things that must expire are our lusts because temptation begins with our own lust (Jam. 1:14).

To be like God, they must first expire our darkness. Sometimes it is love for spiritual things and not for God that we have. The fruit that the word should bring is that we arise not only in image but in the likeness of God. (Isa. 55:11, Psa. 103:2) The word prospers after being sent, it should come back to God with us, presenting us looking exactly like God. The proof of the word is not anything material but the man it has been able to configure in our soul.

To get the person of Jesus, we need to partake of His bread, water and blood. If we don’t partake of the bread, water and blood, we have no part in Him. We should not be tired in labouring to get the persons of God. There is a response in the word of God to every work of Satan.

Tongues and interpretation (3)

It’s a company, we have come as a company.

We have come in our order.

We have in our ranks.

There is one who is chief amongst us, even the angel of the father for to do a work, even the work of sprinkling for healing.

Even for the removal of things that make your soul be unease, even the diseases of the soul,

In the sprinkling is the purging and even the supply of grace

We are sent by God as a company.

We have come with a singular agenda

We have been sent to do a work and there is one chief amongst us even from the Father of lights, even the Father of Spirit

He has many children whom He wants to father For He will treat your blood, He will sprinkle you even to have His own life

Your blood has to speak Him

Your blood has to speak better things

To do that, they will remove things that offend

They will remove things that defile .

They will sprinkle you until you are harmless.

Holy, harmless, children of your Father

Even the angel of your father is here and He follows Him about and you have found mercy to be here.

There are many other emissaries

We have come in our rank and we have been sent by the Father who wants to Father many children.

(Phill. 2:13-15) It is possible for us to emerge as children without rebuke. Working out our salvation will produce sons of God. God is more particular about the transactions in our mind.

THE END.
