Exhortation: Transforming Into a New Man by the Ministry of Christ
Minister: Pastor Tope Falaye
(2 Corinthians 5:17) –“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” The focus of the teaching of our grandparents Rev. Kayode & Rev. (Mrs) Helen Oyegoke has always and remains the teachings of Christ. They have been preaching the things that are of Jesus. The Lord leads them from pasture to pasture. They teach what the Lord reveals in the Bible; things deliberately laid to bring a soul out of the present into the future who is God.
God in His love and mercy intended that man will come to Him. God wants man to inherit the things that are locked up and stored in God. He wants to give this to man, not angels. Before God created man on earth, one of the chief angels had rebelled against God, and God purged him and the angels that rebelled with him out of heaven. Out of lust, covetousness and disobedience, this angel started desiring what made God God. He eventually became bad because He wanted to touch something God did not make available for angels. He had an inordinate desire to want to touch this thing and from being Lucifer, he became the devil.
(Titus 1:2) – “in hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began” God promised the things in Him (Eternal life) to man, and it means he’ll make provision for things that’ll make man get that life. God promised that man will come into his life before man was ever made then he came to the earth and made man. God has been after bringing man into this life and he spoke to prophets, and to holy men, demonstrating his life through different shadows pointing to this one thing (giving his life to man).
For man to come into this, the second person of the Godhead became man. He put the demand of our coming into this life on Jesus. There is a life that is called Christ, a life of the Father that is called Everlasting life and life of God called eternal life.Jesus Christ walked in the path to inherit all of these. He became all of this.
(2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 10:10) When we first believe Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose up from the dead, our spirit becomes an aspect of the man Jesus. This is the life that brings us into the beginning of life. This life is called the new birth. The new birth makes us a new creature who by nature is not of the present. Jesus has much more than making us a new creature in mind. He wants to also make us divine in nature.
Jesus got our spirit born again to do something to our soul. Jesus’ ministry is to bring the world to come. The real capacity of Jesus’ ministry has not been touched. His ministry is grossly misunderstood, easily not discerned. The adversary has filled us with things that’ll make us not accept the ministry of our lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the preacher of the world to come, he is a preacher of things that men may not want to accept.
The last couple of days, our grandparents have been making a defense for the ministry of this man Jesus. Jesus is speaking through his servants on the things he truly wants to speak about. If Jesus doesn’t speak for himself, this old serpent will not go and the present world he has married men to will remain.
