How to turn your Faith loose through Corresponding Actions

One of the burdens in the heart of our parents, Daddy Emeka Eguchukwu and Pastor Laide and Mummy Rose Olaniyan, is not just for us to hear the revelation alone, but to actually put it into practice. We are meant to apply it, not just share revelation, but make it our reality. We should be able to share testimonies of us getting the rhema word, the Lord speaking concerning specific areas in our life, and thanksgiving abounding because the areas we have been trusting the Lord for in our lives have been addressed and we have received healing.

In our last lesson, we saw that most times we assume we have faith for healings, when we really do not. We blame God, ministers, and other saints for not getting healed, whereas we do not have what the word says for us to get healed. We learnt that faith for healing comes from the Word – Rhema Word from the Holy Ghost, Meditation on God’s word, and Fasting and Prayers. It was stressed that the lessons were not just to further inform and enlighten us alone, but for us to know what to do about our health conditions or challenges. For anyone here currently going through any health challenge, I want you to take deliberate steps in getting healing from the Lord. There is a mindset that we have when we hear teachings on healing. It feels like we trust God, but it’s just somewhere at the back of our head.

It is possible to have Faith for healings in one’s heart as a Christian and still not be healed! While we have been taught how to get healing faith in the previous lesson, it is good to further look at how to turn our faith loose from our hearts to get the healings we desire from the Lord.

When we got born again, our spirit got quickened, and we believed that we now belong to the family of God. Something brought that conviction; faith did.

(Isaiah 53:4-5 NIV) – “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” There is already a declaration that Jesus has gone through all for us and we have been made healed, so, the same as we believe the Lord for our spirits to be regenerated, that is the same way we should believe that the scripture above is true.

There are times that we have faith, and the rhema word is present, but we still don’t receive the healing we long for; why is that?

(Acts.14:8-11) – And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked, and when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

Paul perceived that the man had faith, but much more there was a corresponding action to back up the faith. It is possible to have faith for healings in one’s heart as a Christian and still not be healed! While we have taught how to get healing faith in the previous lesson, it is good to further look at how to turn our faith loose from our hearts to get the healings we desire from the Lord.

The following are the ways to get healing from the Lord.

Corresponding Actions: The Key to Triggering God’s Power for Healings

(Acts 3:2-8) – And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

The gift of healing can help to convert a soul. We can trust God to have faith so that when people around us are sick, we can pray for them and they can be healed. It’s something we should desire.

God is not going to heal you or me from whatever ailments we may be plagued with. This is because “He has healed us, by whose stripes we were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). It has been done; it is finished. The truth is, the healing has occurred from God’s end, but by the principles of understanding of milk faith for healings, and properly applying the principles, we are meant to receive our healings and hold on to the tangibility. Hallelujah! A great approach to receiving our healing is through thanksgiving.

There Are Two Kinds of Corresponding Actions;

Confessions Of Faith/Rhema Word/Sent Words of God for Our Healings.

(Rom. 10:10) – For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. When we receive the rhema word, we believe that our healing has been perfected. When we receive it, we confess with our mouth. These confessions should come forth when we receive the rhema word of God. When we stand to receive faith for a particular thing, we should not speak or confess negatively; we don’t confess what we don’t desire but that which we desire to see.

Without confession, we can’t be born again; we would not have been able to speak in tongues. (Acts 2:4) – And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. This is the same way we are to confess our healing; we keep confessing till we see the manifestation.

When situations arise, just like when Peter was walking on water and began to sink after seeing the boisterous wind, we must not give in to fear or doubt. We must have the confidence to keep walking, so we must keep our gaze fixed on the Lord (Matthew 14:22-33).

We must stand for the truth; our life conversion must speak of it. As a Christian, our lives must speak the life of Christ. The whole world system is a “world of confession”. Satan and his cohorts fill humanity with junk (his things) and trigger them to confess negativity and to confess death, hence the prosperity of sickness and diseases (Prov. 18:21).

It is good to know that we are all “confessors by nature”. Man is a speaking being just like God. We have just been rewired by the devil to speak negativity from hearts filled with fear. The Christian faith, particularly the milk faith of the word for healing, seeks to and doth retrain us in how we use our mouth for our health and healing. Confessing with our mouth is the number one and major corresponding action that a believer ought to engage in to release and turn loose the healing faith that is in their heart for to get healed, Hallelujah!

If you are still trusting God to receive the rhema word, you must keep confessing.

Why do we find it difficult to speak God’s word for our healings?

  1. We have been trained and constrained by the systems of the world not to believe in or confess the invisible that God’s word prescribes for us to be healed (Mark 11:23). Increased knowledge, having filled us with fear, makes bold declaration of God’s rhema word so foolish and difficult to engage in.
  1. Most times we do not have the rhema word (which many times is a grace-filled, faith-powered, and light-propelled word) in our heart.

(Psalms 107:20) – He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. What He sent is what can be received. We have to receive the word of God for our healing; this word of God is what is referred to as Rhema.

Many times, we are hindered from receiving our healing because we have not received a word. The Lord sends His word to us, and we must be positioned to receive this word; then we also have to apply it. If we desire a thing, the Lord knows how to bring it to pass.

Many times, as we go about our business or while being subjected to some situations, the word of the Lord comes; this is why we must be ghosted; we must be spiritual people. Because we have faith does not mean that we should not listen to the Holy Ghost. When you pray in the Holy Ghost, the noises around you are less; you can pick and hear leadings.

  1. We doubt the faithfulness of God to confirm His word.

(Matt. 21:21) – Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Many times the reason why we don’t receive healing is that we don’t trust in the faithfulness of God. Jesus has borne all for us, so we should believe in His faithfulness and ability to do His work.

How to better position ourselves to confess God’s words for our healing.

  1. Be sure to get a rhema word from God (Psalm 107:20). We should pray for God to send His word to us.
  2. Fill your mind and heart with God’s words of healing (Matthew 12:34 – out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks). Confessions of God’s word for healing are easier when our hearts particularly are filled with faith.
  3. Starve your heart and mind of fear. Fear is a liar. Whatever is in the soul, particularly in the heart, ends up as the confessions of our mouths. It is better not to put fear (faithless knowledge, facts, etc) in the heart, because as long as they are in the heart, they will find their way to the mouth, which is just a matter of time. Feed your faith, starve your fear (or your reasonings). When he comes, reply to him and tell him he has no hold over you, and make him see reasons why you have received your healing. We should not try to be humble and allow Satan to defeat us.
  4. Listen to testimonies of those who God has healed; it will stir us to good works. It will build our faith.
  5. Acting on God’s specific instructions, and acting as though what we believe for is so or is done. Sometimes, the rhema word that would come to you is to undergo surgery for fast recovery.

While confessions are the number one corresponding actions that a believer ought to engage in to trigger the healing anointings and power, in many cases, it is just one of two major steps to be engaged in to come into full healings.

A young believer may need to effectively carry their Pastor or an older Christian in the faith along to be well guided in professing corresponding actions of milk faith for healing. This is being said because some have been known to have gone overboard without wisdom in the name of faith, and corresponding actions. If you have faith, people around you can tell; your pastors can tell when you have faith.

Faith for one’s dependents: The faith of parents can carry and bring healing to their children and other dependents who, in certain peculiar circumstances, rely on them spiritually. Note: this also has to be done in the full glare of knowledge of God’s word and counselling of one’s Pastor.

We should act on God’s word both with our words and actions.

Round off by Pastor Happy Oseni

(Matthew 12:34) – “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” It is out of the abundance of our hearts that will determine what our confession will be. Our confession reveals what we have put our heart on. Papa Hagin mentioned in one of his books how he used to worry a lot and how it was a genetic trait in their family; they would even get sick as a result of worrying. Scripture says ‘I wish above all things that you be in health’, not ask for your healing (3 John 1:2). The first wish of the Lord is that we are in health, and stay healthy. We can stay healthy by what we feed and meditate on; if we feast and meditate on the things of God, we will stay healthy.

(1Timothy 4:8) – “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” Even concerning our health, godliness is profitable. When we exercise ourselves in wrong natures like malice, envy, and the like, we can harbour sicknesses in our bodies.

In addition to the fact that we must eat healthily, exercising and meditating on the things of God keep us in health perpetually. At times we cause some things intentionally; we then try to use faith and expect God to interject in the situation, e.g eating frequently at midnight and having stomach upset. So we must be wise towards our health.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. You can put abundance in your heart by listening to messages from Hagin and watching healing videos. There won’t be healing if God doesn’t send His word through a medium. The rhema is the word we hear, and what we hear is what will keep us healthy.

The amount of confession that will be made will be reliant on the amount of righteousness that has been put on my heart. The power of life and death is in the tongue, but the reality is that the tongue cannot operate if the heart is not active. The mouth pushes out what is in the heart, so we must continuously fill our heart with righteous things.

(Phil. 4:8) – “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Don’t go online looking for information concerning sicknesses; instead, listen to Kenneth Hagin messages and watch healing videos. So we must constantly fill ourselves with meditation. This confession is not what someone told you; if the word has not come, faith has not been activated. For faith to be activated, there must be substance in the heart (Heb. 11:1). We should constantly exercise ourselves unto godliness; walking in love, not staying in offence or unforgiveness, etc. We should not exercise ourselves in ungodliness; it is soul sickness that can also result in body ailments. Do godliness and see that we can perpetually live in health.

Scripture says we should cast our cares upon the Lord, which means that anything I’m carrying upon the Lord is above us; so when we mind and continually think upon things that we have cast upon the Lord, it will definitely weigh us down. Many times, we come down with headaches, body pain, etc because of the evil in those things.
