The emotions we experience towards the Lord for most of us are borne out of appreciation of His sacrifice, but it must not be mistaken for love for Him. Love and appreciation of Him are different. As we grow, the Holy Ghost will teach us to use the right words to communicate what we are feeling because it is tantamount to misrepresentation when our words betray our thoughts. The Holy Ghost can be quite detailed even in our choice of words, ensuring what we are communicating is not contrary to what is in our minds; else we have just done lip service. As we journey, He ensures a sync between our words, our tongue, and our heart such that we are able to fount from within.
Man has been trained to be very superficial, and man has become light, and that alone injures the life of covenant. In the days of the fathers, men were held accountable by their words; your words describe the quality of man that you are. Once you commit to a thing, men are sure because there was a culture of knowing the weight of your words, so a man doesn’t speak lightly. One of the vanities in the soul is that words come without weight, without thinking through them, and without the heart vetting or sifting the things that come out of the mouth. The heart is corrupt and has to be healed. Because there was no healing, it let something loose. One of the things God had to do is begin to work on the heart and adjust the lever upon the mouth. It is a retracing back of the covenant. God did this not to gag us but to teach us the way of wisdom. A man gunning for salvation is a man of few words (James 1:19).
There is no way; if you see a mighty talker, there is a great probability that he is lacking in doing. Not because talking is wrong, but the strength it takes to be able to do is drawn from much reflection and introspection from inside, and reliance on the Holy Ghost (Prov. 10:19). The beginning of the journey of perfection is in the restraint of the tongue. (James 3:2) (1 Cor. 9:27) The beginning of putting your body under is putting your mouth under. If the mouth is not under, the body can never be under.
God must rule your mouth through His word. (1 Pet. 3:10-11) The beginning of the recipe for life is a rule over your mouth. God’s word must govern your tongue if He will save your body. The tongue is not the captain itself; it is ruled by the heart. The body is the ship; the tongue is the rudder or the helm. The helm is at the captain’s behest. When the captain is not in charge, the winds can turn it. The heart is the captain that governs the direction of the tongue.
Men have become so light that it has become very difficult for a man to stick to his word. Integrity has become a scarce thing even among believers. It is an essential faculty in the soul that helps a person in steadfastness. The root of unwaveringness is a faculty of the soul that Satan has plundered for centuries, such that a man cannot commit to a thing and hold out on it. That is not the way that God intended man to be.
The soul of man, by design, is programmed to be able to hold out; that’s why the soul didn’t die quickly. One of the things said concerning Job is that he held fast to his integrity. The capacity to hold on even when it hurts him is something God wove in man, but Satan made sure that place is broken down such that man can’t hold out on God. That’s why Job’s wife told him to curse God and die; however, she wasn’t talking about physical death. She was referring to his holding out; she was saying he should touch a little bit of death and the trial would be over. His soul held out so much, even when it was as though he would be destroyed. God wove it inside, but Satan has plundered that place such that our words have now become cheap commodities. It is not about the word but about the damage in the soul. They are destroying a seat of steadfastness. That soul can’t keep covenant because it is that same faculty we use to keep covenant.
If and when God begins to raise us in the learning of everlasting things, that same faculty must be open not just to moral judgment, because we have people who do things out of morality. For example, the Rechabites lived according to the commandment given to them by their father, but God told Jeremiah to give wine in Jeremiah 35:3-15, which they refused to take. The Rechabites are not Judeans, but they obeyed the commandment of their Father. The Father gave them the instruction as a secret to their longevity, and they held on to the instruction. Our soul has the faculty to hold on to instruction.
We don’t pay attention to our words, and it is more pronounced these days. It is even said that our attention span is lower. We are more tuned to talk than to listen. We need the patience to listen and hear well. If you give someone an instruction and ask them to give a summary, you’d be amazed at how little they can recount because somewhere the faculty of the soul has been beaten down. He cannot recount your words not because he doesn’t regard your words, but somewhere he also has no respect for his words. Such a man would turn at every junction.
When God begins to deal with your heart, even though He begins inwardly, one of the things He would also address outwardly is your mouth. Our mouth is not unconnected to the seat of the nature of everlastingness that He wants to build in the soul. This does not mean we now begin to keep mute, but we’re talking about the revelation for God to print Himself into a soul; to upgrade you into a heavenly being. To make the work prosper, they have to put a law over our mouths.
Meaning what we say and saying what we mean is a training that Jesus and the Holy Ghost will exercise us in until we don’t err any longer; that our heart is in tune with the Lord and our mouth only speaks what has been authorized from our hearts. In the journey of perfection, they must capture our mouth. This means we come to a place where our heart is so synced with the Lord. This doesn’t mean it is only when we want to prophesy that we speak, but that our mouth only speaks the request that heaven is making, even in our jokes.
(Matt. 12:36) The Greek used ‘barren’ for the idle word, meaning ‘unproductive to life’. The Bible is not against joking, but they are against foolish jesting. (Eph. 5:4) (Mark 3:17-19)
The Holy Ghost can sit on you for every single word you say. He would begin to narrow down to every single detail. He wants to heal and revive a faculty of the soul that has been damaged; our conscience can excuse us because it is not a law that you have lived by or obeyed. When the Holy Ghost heals you, the capacity of the conscience would then be raised to monitor you by a higher law. One of the things that the Lord does to shut the tap of evil thoughts is to shut its flow first. Matthew 15:10-17 says it is not what goes inside through the mouth that defiles a man. There are things that go in through the ears and eyes that can defile a man. The ones that go in through the mouth cannot defile a man primarily. In Matthew 15:16-19, Jesus felt that they should be ascending in understanding.
There is a source and an outlet. The mouth is an outlet for the heart. Some of the evil thoughts are expressed through the mouth and others through our behavior, but what is apparent is that whatever the heart is filled with will definitely escape through the mouth. (Prov. 18:20-21) – “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. – Out of all the outlets a man has, the tongue has a particular work; it is filled with the power of life and death. A man’s belly is the soul. The enemy doesn’t want you to proceed from the heart alone but also from the mouth so that what is in the heart can multiply. Our mouth is the producer of fruits. It multiplies what is sown. Fruit is two things: the product of a seed, and it is also bread (flesh) and seed. Fruit carries the multiplication of what is sown. (Prov. 18:21) Whatever has been planted will multiply. Satan wants our mouth and Righteousness likewise. This is why one of the things you give to God is the fruit of your lips. God is banking on the fact that a good seed has been sown in the heart, and through the expression of the mouth, there is a law of multiplication that can fill the whole man.
Even though the tongue is not the only way that the life in the heart is expressed, the peculiar nature of the tongue makes it a principal ground of contention because it has the capacity to multiply the seed that has been planted in the heart. When heaven is treating the heart, it first clips the mouth and its capacity to multiply by the law of righteousness; then it begins to address in more detail the residue of the seed that is in the heart. The law of righteousness will help put a bridle on the mouth; then it deals with the residue of the seed in the heart. (Matt. 15:18) – “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.” – Something proceeds from the heart, then proceeds out from the mouth. It can also be seen as ‘proceeds’, as in the fruit of a bargain.
One of the things that the Lord is training us in is how not to hold evil things, both within and without. How to not touch the unclean. A person can be trained not to touch the unclean in his thoughts. Why? The heart has been trained not to touch it. If the thought ever gets to the heart, the heart can filter it out; it doesn’t proceed. The venom of an animal is only harmful when it comes out of the animal and gets into another, but as long as it is inside it, it isn’t poisonous. To the snake, what is poison is for its own health and sustenance. For us, our evil words are not profitable to us. They are not useful unto life at all, so the Holy Ghost would cut it off totally. It is a change of nature totally.
God is not saying He’ll just give rules, but He will show a man who kept His laws. Have you wondered what kind of man Jesus was? When they said in epistles that let your words be seasoned with salt, Jesus was the first to keep those commandments (Col. 4:6).
(Matt. 7:28-29) There is something about the person of Jesus, the composition of His life, that what became commandments in the epistles were a demonstration of the laws that He had kept, rules by which His life had been governed. In the spirit, He wielded life, which was described as authority by outsiders. What they saw as authority was actually a grace of life that was commanding. It is that grace of life that commands obedience to the faith. His words are weighty. It was also said about the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 10:10. They said his words were weighty. It actually means that a man is possessed of the Lord and was led such that his life has now become an example of the things He preached.
There are consecrations around every matter of the kingdom. One consecration for those who handle the oracles of life is that they must not be scoffers of holy things. Even when somebody is wrong, don’t scoff at them. One of the undoings of this generation is comedies and skits. There should be a limit to what we laugh at; if not, Satan can arrange one out of grace.
Another part of the consecration is lying. Let lies be far from you. Intentionally or willfully saying untrue statements, unverified assertions, or misrepresentations let it be far from you. The Holy Ghost would be distant from such a man who does this. You must be careful not to do so if you are handling truth; if not, the grace would be far away from you. If you will speak on behalf of the Lord, you must be careful. Some might even say they are blessed, but the grace and power that should be there will be far from you.
The Holy Ghost can be particular, and He won’t leave you until you repent of something you said wrong. If He doesn’t stay on you until you repent, your heart would go cold. He knows that if He leaves you and that thing is not corrected, or you don’t feel sorry enough not to go down that route again, something would shut down inside, and it would keep shutting down until a man doesn’t have the capacity to receive God when He comes. When He does that, it is love that is in action. He might command you to go and correct a wrong saying, not to shame you but to make sure you don’t go through that way again. Sometimes, it shows our love for Jesus that we are not willing to keep our death but are willing to live. If God does not light on these things, we can be saying high revelations while we are dying and decaying somewhere. We can be teaching everlasting life, and people are still lying and stealing. The soul still fears what man can do to the body and what shame can do, but has not feared what the soul would suffer in hell. God would need to imprint His fear upon our heart again.
The thing that makes us quick to defend ourselves, we don’t yet see it as an overflow of a work in the soul. Satan has so broken us that we don’t know the implications of our actions, and unless the Lord helps us, we keep on with our damage, and we will keep damaging others by our actions and inactions. It may not look like the words you are speaking, but it is an offshoot of the heart that can injure/defile or damage both you and your brother. The wisdom of salvation is to tame/kill everything that is an offshoot of the heart that is injurious to you and to your brother. God doesn’t just shine light on places where we think He should, but also on places that have been damaged for a long time but we are not aware of.
Many times, we think our life is about us alone, but we forget that our brethren have a stake in our lives. So it is not about you alone. That is the difference between doing what is convenient and what is right. What is convenient may be easy for you but would cost every other person, but what is right may not be convenient for you, but it would save every other person. The discipline of the spirit will keep us from doing our own will or seeking our own things alone.
The use of the light being given to us can be so little that we don’t find any practical use of light in our hearts. It is to the degree of light that the heart has been exposed to that will make it rooted in love, honour, and consideration for the other person. The shade of things that our hearts harbor, the Lord will show us mercy to disassociate ourselves from them. The Lord expects that our love for one another will grow more fervent. It should not be about just giving money but having consideration for the other person so much more in our heart that the virtues of Christ can shine.
(1 Pet. 1:17-22) Unfeigned love is unpretentious love or sincere love. In this, you are not forming it. To come here, we purify our soul by obeying the truth. Obeying the truth is purifying or cleaning the soul. We do truth till our love becomes unfeigned. When we started, our love or faith could be feigned. But we are to do truth till our love for the brethren is unfeigned, till we love purely.
(Matt. 5:8) You don’t practice fervent love without one another. It is a conversation with one another. The interpretation of this love is in our conversation, but it is produced by how everyone is obeying truth. The evidence is that you exercise more love and consideration in truth towards your brethren.
We don’t practice infringed love without one another. The interpretation of this love is with one another, and it is produced by everyone of us obeying truth, and it will now show that our hearts have been made pure. This will show in how we make allowance and take consideration for others more than ourselves.
(Matt. 5:42) This is where they are taking us to. It is an everlasting law. We must fulfill unfeigned love and come to fervent love because where they are taking us is higher than us.
(2 Pet. 1:8-9) These are ever-increasing measures. We can quote this scripture, but are we abounding? To abound is to have sufficient to use and spare. The fruit of knowledge is the grace of life that is wrought by love. Lack is being blind, but the ones that are actually fruitful are those abounding in them. There is also the middle ground that is not abounding enough to be fruitful even though the tree is there, but it is not yielding in strength. The making is in them abounding. We must not just be satisfied that we have faith or knowledge or patience. The making is not that these things are in us but that we are abounding in them. They must make some conversations abound enough to trigger the conversion.
We have a role in ensuring that these things abound. We must be diligent in doing and obeying truth because that is how you’ll abound in knowledge, patience, brotherly kindness, and charity. That is how we make our calling and election sure. This is similar to Jude 1:24; this is the secret that keeps us from falling. How God keeps us from falling is that He shows us secrets of what to do. He can keep us from falling, but it is in these things that we do them. We have things to do!

Eat, Keep Eating
For the food that is being dished unto you will bring many commandments that you should abide by. For it is by the eating that many instructions would come
It is by what you take in that instructions will come, and commandments that you should keep will come
Even as you keep this commandment, you are taking steps in the spirit
There is a place that I want you to come into
I want you to come up to the heavens where I am
I want you to come up to the heavens where I am
And you can’t get to the heavens where I am if you don’t start keeping the commandments
If you don’t eat it, you can’t come up
If you don’t eat my word, you can’t come up
If you don’t eat my mysteries, you can’t come up
If you don’t eat things pertaining to my life, you can’t come to that heaven where I am
I want many to come to that heaven
I want many of you to come to that heaven where I am, but you are limited if you don’t keep the instructions and commandments of this place
So I bring many lines, I bring this many lights, and I want you to be faithful
I want you to go back and search and see the areas where you have defaulted in and begin to make amends, for indeed godly sorrow worketh out repentance
I desire many repentance, not just in your sayings alone but even in your actions
I want doers of this word
I want practitioners of this word
I want people that will practice; I want people that will be doers of the word
I want doers of the instructions I bring unto you
It might look very light, like don’t lie, don’t steal, many don’ts, and you are wondering, what is this? But I say even in it you will get life; even in keeping them you will get life
For it is in keeping the little instructions that you will come up to the heavens that I speak of
For indeed there is yet a heralding; there is yet a declaration of a higher place, and if you want to come up to that place, keep these little ones that are coming unto you; if not, you will be stuck; if not, you won’t make progress; if not, you won’t come up hither
If not, you will remain at the place that you have been operating in, and you’d be wondering why you have not moved, so keep the words that I’m giving unto you, saith the Spirit.

It is the practice, the practice to come to mastery by reason of use
Come to mastery, come, master my life
Come master the skill of my life
Come master the skill of heavenly living
Come master the skill of undoing corruption
Come master it
Give yourself to mastering these things
Practice! Practice! Be practitioners of the world to come
Practice! Practice heavens
Give yourself to the practice
Gain mastery, gain mastery
Practice again until your heart is exercised over and over again
Not once or twice, nor a couple of times
Give yourself to practicing until it becomes your default and go to nature
Practice, do it again
Don’t take it as a badge of honor or as a testimony that you do it
Keep doing it.
For you gain mastery, for you gain skill in the use of this life
Practice it. Day in, day out
Practice it among brethren, practice it amongst colleagues in the office until your heart is exercised
Just the way men exercise their heart unto covetous practices, you will exercise your heart in the doing of the truth of the kingdom
Exercise the muscles of your heart in doing the truth for today, in doing the commandment for today
Carry it again, take it up again, and do that commandment
Practice it, practice it again, and you will have mastery.

Heaven wants to promote us. After B.Sc, there are also Masters. Not everybody strives for mastery. (2 Tim. 2:5) – “And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.” – You don’t come to mastery without laws. To come to mastery, you must strive within the ambit of the laws of mastery.
In mastery, learn the attacks and counterattacks for every law. Heaven wants to bring us to mastery. They will show us laws. When you are striving for mastery, they begin to show you laws to keep. These are laws a man uses to strive for mastery. A person not interested in keeping laws is not gunning for mastery. How you show you are gunning for mastery is that you exercise yourself again and again in that thing. You may not get it at once, but you try and try again until it becomes natural to you. (1 Cor. 9:25, 2 Tim. 2:5) That mastery is also coronation or kingship, because at the end, you are given a crown. That crowning is a sign that you have dominion, that you have known how to use the laws to profit in life. What God is bringing to us is mastery and crowning.
Offence and bitterness have gained mastery of us before, but it is time for peace to gain mastery of us. First, righteousness, then peace. All are masteries. (Heb. 7:2) For the king of righteousness, you must strive by the laws of righteousness, and for the king of peace, you must strive by the laws of peace. Heaven is bringing us into masteries where we will master the master’s life.
