Pastor Mike Ogunoye

(Hebrews 5:9-14)9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. 11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

(Hebrews 6:1-3)“1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit.”

The high priestly ministry of Jesus is something we need high senses to discern. People who are dull of hearing are those who need milk. The milk of the word secretes things in your soul if you fulfil the curriculum to the end, same as the meat of the word as you need all for prosperity in the season of strong meat.

Repentance from dead works is central to our walk with Jesus. We will keep repenting till we become like Jesus. The whole essence of the kingdom of God is to make us like God. There is a standard and He is Jesus as the Son of God and we bridge the gap between our ways from his ways by our continuous repenting.

(Galatians 5:19-21)19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

(Matthew 13:40-41)40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity.”

(Proverbs 28:13)He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” If we don’t have the attitude of repenting, our journey will be tedious. God does not like stiff necked people. We are not higher than the sins we commit but the attitude of repentance humbles us and helps us to admit our wrongs.

In the realm of the spirit, our value is not proportional to our spiritual gifts. We need building to rise about certain things; however, we have deficiencies. When we continue in our wrongs, with time, they will show forth in our building.

(Revelation 22:15) For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.” Milk of the word can wash fornication or any works of the flesh off a person. Let God be true and let every human experience be a liar; all our experiences should bend to God’s truth.

(Revelation 17:5)And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.”

(Proverbs 6:16-19)16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”

Fornication with spirits is intercoursing evil spirits. There are certain things God calls abominations of the earth that we don’t know. We can intercourse spirits when the ideas that run our lives are run by the world and not God.

Repentance from dead works is the basis of what God wants to do for us. If we have not attained unto repentance of dead works, we won’t be able to be delivered from the spiritual and everlasting versions of the sins we are committing.

We must know that we are being watched by angels and the hosts of heaven every time we engage in wrong doings; our lives are under constant divine surveillance. When we engage in them, we give occasions for spirits to bring forth accusations, not just against us but against God Himself. When we cooperate with the HolyGhost, our passions will be subject under the spirit.

(1 Peter 4:1-2)“1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.”

The answer to sin and addictions is to make up our minds to suffer. Suffering does not kill, instead, it will kill that wrong nature. Sexual immorality reduces a soul to something less than bread; the way out of it is suffering.

(2 Corinthians 10:6)And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” We must disobey disobediences till we hate them. A time is coming when the wrath of God is coming upon all the children of disobedience; what God wants to judge must not be found in us.

In a generation that is highly sexualized, we must work to see that these wrong passions and desires are killed. We must consciously manage our ‘alone’ times and not give in to the enemy – an idle man is the devil’s workshop. We can utilize our alone time to pray well, if we do this, the Lord can start showing us glimpses of ‘our tomorrow’.

Our alone moments are periods we need to bury in prayer and sow into the spirit to reap life everlasting. The things that are happening to us currently are a direct result of our prayers in the past and the things that will happen to us in the future will be a direct result of how much we pray now. Alone moments are opportunities that the Lord has given to us so let’s use them to pray and read scriptures.

There are many things about our life that God wants to tell us and these are things that help us harness leadings when we get to those different seasons. Let’s cut off every ground that Satan uses to waste our years.

There is no repentance without sorrow. (Mark 7:27) But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.” We should not be offended when we are corrected because our inability to not be  unoffended can procure healing to our generation. We must also learn to move closer to spiritual authority who can correct us when we do wrong. We can be quick to abort the process of sorrow being worked out of repentance (when we call the godly sorrow condemnation), if we do, we will never change.

We can check how heaven is feeling about us by checking the movement of the spirit within us. When we sin, we grieve the HolySpirit and something also dies in us. The spiritual gifts that we are being given have their taboos and abominations, this is why we must constantly keep ourselves.

There is nothing about sin that should make us joyful, we should cry and pray about it – that is godly sorrow and not condemnation. As we shed our wrong natures, we will become new. There is a version of us that Jesus knows that has not come to manifestation yet, but if we have an attitude to turn from everything that we do wrong, then we can build on it.

(Hebrews 12:16-17) 16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.”

Repentance can be late. Esau sold his birthright and cried at the wrong time. Tears cannot change principles in the spirit. When grace is available to turn, especially when word comes to us, if we delay the obedience, the grace begins to wane; it is the grace that comes that gives the ability to change. If grace is coming, obey immediately!

We will never be promoted on trial, we must pass. God is tenacious to see that if we don’t graduate in one phase, we can’t proceed to the next phase. Milk is not limited to asking and receiving but it also deals with the things that make us offend God. We must turn whenever God demands for it and when we find it difficult, we should agree in our hearts and cry to God for help, He will supply grace.

We should never make a jest of the leading of the spirit. We must deal with saints carefully, especially how we speak to them. Our words can cut very deep, so we must be very careful and think twice. We should learn not to counsel someone until you have prayed for them.
