Meeting: Season of the Spirit (Day 2)

Date: 09 Feb, 2025

Message: Opening Charge

Ministers: Pastor Olaide Olaniyan

(1 John 3:1-2) – Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. [2] Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

(Matt 26:59-65) (John 6:28-41) Jesus said he is the bread of life here and they were offended, because they didn’t understand what he meant, they couldn’t see him in this manner. They were just seeing the physical Jesus. A soul must open his eyes to see Jesus beyond the physical and at every level to come into life. There are stratas in seeing Jesus. A person can see Jesus as the Christ, another can see Him as the Living God (Matt 16:16). Some people see him as a prophet but there is a difference between a prophet and the prophet (John 1: 19-25).

(Acts 3:19-23) Jesus was that prophet, and this is sonship to a pedigree, but the Jews didn’t see him as that proophet, but the prophet. However, they knew there is a difference between Christ and the prophet, they knew that Christ might not necessarily be the prophet. Jesus manifested as Christ but also manifested in other capacities as the son of the living God – much more, he manifested as the son of the True God. Your eyes must be blessed to see him and then receive him in the capacity which he has been sent, to receive the benefits of that estate.

Knowledge comes in two levels: knowledge that works willingness in you or the knowledge that works the hope or desire to receive what God wants to bring forth. This knowledge is called illumination. Illumination creates the light of hope. Without this knowledge, you can’t generate desire, you don’t know what to believe/hope for. In fact, you can shut down at the administration of this knowledge without reaching the end of it. The end of this knowledge is a performance God wants to work in us. God wants to take a soul from willingness to performance. We need the establishment power of God which moves us from believing to doing. This is a journey between seeing and becoming. (Philippians 2:13)

(Romans 7:18) – 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

God wroughts the desire to do through the law. But having this desire doesn’t equate to you doing the will of God or journeying in His will. It takes some form of impartation of spirit for you to start journeying in the will of God. The giving of the Spirit is setting energy to work what God is working in a soul. This is why you shouldn’t be presumptous that you’re already walking in the revelation you’ve heard – you might fall into the danger of walking with the strength of the flesh. Sometimes, God compresses the desire to do and power to do, and they come at the perogative of God’s mercy. God can cut short some righteousness so that some people can enter into some graces just like in Joel 2:23-26. But praise God that God can work both to will and to do. (Phil 2:12-13)

In every season, there’s a hope, desire or hunger believers have for what God is intends to give. You have to be permitted by God to see God’s intention before you begin to desire it. You can only hope for what you’ve seen in the spirit. This is why when God is revealing Jesus to us as His, He wants us to see Him plainly in all his glory (1st John 2:3). When God starts revealing Jesus to us as the son, and all the things that made him up, we can be offended and shut down or confused, hereby not receiving these things. But God can raise our capacity to assimilate.

Eventually, what the Father wants us to desire and partake of is the true bread from heaven (John 6:32-35). Coming to Jesus quenches your hunger, believing in him quenches your thirst. The essence of you coming to him and the sacrifices they make is for your perfection. This perfection is administered through feeding, as you come to him, you’ll be fed and your hunger will be quenched. Coming is not just coming, coming is also feeding. Quenching this hunger doesn’t mean your desire for God will stop, rather, you’ll be purified of a strange hunger. There is a meal a person is to take so that it would totally quench the hunger for this world because he has tasted of a holy meal. This is so because before now, you had an appetite for things that draw men to prediction, however, this new meal from the Lord will quench that appetite. There is a certain meal that has the power to quench the hunger for this world in a person – this meal is a holy meal. When a person takes this holy meal, he has partaken of the table of the Lord at a very high pedigree.

What is being served at the table of the Lord is a person – He is the bread of the God. He is able to expose the secret of your strange desires and serve you an everlasting meal that will end the desires totally. This meal satisfies eternally and is able to dry up that hunger, and close up spirits aiding this hunger.

(John 6:35) Men in this world are thirsty and only God can satisfy that thirst. God designed the soul of man to have a large capacity that nothing else can satisfy it except God. The soul of man does not have enough, the only thing designed to fill it is the knowledge of God. The knowledge of God is the meal that shuts down cravings and appetite – that mean is the person of truth. The more we eat of this meal, the more our confusion is cleared. The more certainty we come into.

Satisfaction can only come to a soul through the knowledge of God. Souls that claim to be satisfied by living a secluded life from the world, out of the knowledge of God are not seeking God, they’re just seeking some form of reverence from men. They want to be seen as different. There’s no man on earth that isn’t looking for something: honour, respect etc…these things can’t satisfy except God.

(Luke 1:1-3) What Luke is talking about here are unshakable convictions – things that are most surely believed amongst saints. What made Luke and othe apostles and saints come to this conclusion are the things they fed on.  They fed on the apostles doctrine, they fed on Christ. They cannot be moved by other things, because this is what they most surely believe and nobody can rid them of it.

(John 6:35) (Isaiah 55:1-2) This milk is a secretion of the word and the word of God that a soul needs to buy. We need to buy this milk and feed on it because Satan has fed us with nonsense spiritually, like we feed on nonsense bodily. These more we eat these things, we more we become degraded. This is why you need to eat what is good in doctrine and excuse yourself from that which isn’t good.

(Isaiah 28: 7-8) It is by reason of what we eat and drink that we died. If God will open our eyes in the spirit, we’ll see that so many spiritual meals that are being served outside are branded vomit – this is the work of satan.

(Isaiah 55:1-3) Satan did a bad work by feeding us with something that isn’t good. But the Lord is gradually feeding us with his own meal, right from taking milk, then graduating to meat and strong meat. All these meals are revelations of a person. They are the revelations of God in Jesus, and they give us in bits and stages because we can’t take the fullness of God at once. God must progressively give us sight, to be able to see the intricate work that has been wrought in the son (John 6:14). But you can see and choose not to believe, or you can see and harden your heart.

(Heb 3:8-12) After seeing, these people did not believe, instead, they provoked God. Their heart was afraid of controversy and this kind of heart is an unbelieving heart. Believing doesn’t have to be about being persuaded about what has been said, or controversial; believing is just about wanting to do the will of God. Believing is sticking to what people are either not seeing or chose not to believe. Caleb and Joshua stuck with what they believed when others were not seeing or choosing not to believe. Paul had no regard for anything here and even tried to persuade King Agrippa to leave all he has and follow Christ. Men like this were too precious for the earth – they were too holy, precious that they had to be removed. This is the level of purification God wants to make us go through.

Thus, God will x-ray the details of the Son so men can become like him. But oftentimes, men don’t like the intricate part of processes, but get attracted to finished the product because it is glorious. Everyone wants Eternal life but when the process is being shown, we become offended. The propensity to shut down is higher when the son is being shown to us in details. But this is when God requires us to believe in order to understand. Understandind before believe can lead to error, because the things of the spirt don’t necessarily make sense at first (Heb 11:3). There is no place of understanding if faith has not been worked in the heart.

The root of unbelief in the heart is when we think that being detailed about who God is means we’re going too far. But when it comes to man detailing creation from the point of view of biology, it’s fascinating. Satan has made light the knowledge of God when it should actually be our life. Civilization of men is actually the learning of God – but the word of God has become tedious when being divided. We must not be tired of divisions- the beauty is in the details. The detailed understanding we get from the word of God being divided helps us to be more aware of the spiritual. When the details of the son are given to you, your world changes, your understanding, manner of life and consecration changes. Why? Because you’ve been graced to see him in a way that you haven’t before now.

Ignorance, sometimes, can delay some working of death. But when you see and choose not to believe, death is faster, that is, the working of death is accelerated (John 9:41). We should desire to fulfill the whole course of seeing all, learning all, and receiving all. The things that make for the son are our bread, our water, our wine — they all work together for the workings of God in us.

The Son is detailed and taugh in details because God wants to treat our sins in detail – this is typical of Him. He narrows down to the root cause of sin in our souls to address it. This is why we must pay attention, see and believe, so that the science of what the Son is saying can make sense to us and be potent in us. When your eyes are empowered to see again you’re a blessed man even when it doesn’t look like it. Because even when Abraham was blessed, he still looked natural. But the blessing really is that he has been empowered to see.

Your life might not exhibit the blessings of God, but you must still believe it.
