1st Tongues and Interpretations
God, even your God is Good
He is Good
For He is not changed by your circumstances or by your situation.
He has no shadow of turning in Him.
He is Good in all situations
And He wants you His children to always see Him as a good Father
It’s with these eyes He always wants you to discern, to see, to behold, to acknowledge and approach Him, to approach Him as a good Father
It gladdens the heart of God when His children acknowledge that He is good in all situations
For the effort of the adversary is to gaslight God and paint God in a bad light before His children. It’s the effort of Satan. It’s to turn the heart of the Father against the child, and child against the Father
But I am good.
In those situations, I am good.
In that condition, I am good.
For all things work together for good to those that love me.
For I will begin to unfold my goodness to you.
Sunday School Begins
(1 John 2:15-16) “15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
What can contend with the love of the Father is this present world, this is why scripture admonishes us to not love this world. The amount of the world we have within is the distance between us and the Father. The amount of love we have for the Father is the distance that we have with the world. The reason we give our lives to Christ is to do away with the love of this world. When the Holy Ghost leads us, He has seen the world in us and wants to deliver us from it.
The reason why we have the leading of the spirit, is so that we can be led out of this world. The cross is what can crucify the world. We connect with this present world from the world within us. (Matthew 6:20) “20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.” The reason why Satan magnifies this world is to get our hearts. The world corrupts against God. (2 Peter 1:4)“4 For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.” For us to need to escape, it means that the world is a cage. This world is against our real inheritance.
(James 1:27) “27 Pure and unblemished religion [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular] world.” The work of every believer is to keep ourselves unspotted from this world. (Job 1:16) “16 While he was still speaking, another [messenger] also came and said, “The fire of God (lightning) has fallen from the heavens and has burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” Satan’s work is to ensure that this world remains in our soul, every believer needs to fight to ensure that this doesn’t happen. The summary of this world is the lust of the flesh, lust of the eye and pride of life – “15 Do not love the world [of sin that opposes God and His precepts], nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust and sensual craving of the flesh and the lust and longing of the eyes and the boastful pride of life [pretentious confidence in one’s resources or in the stability of earthly things]—these do not come from the Father, but are from the world.” (1 John 2:15-16). Lust of the flesh is not limited to fornication alone, even though it is part of it. Lust of the flesh can also be expressed in gluttony.
Lust of the eye is expressed in the desire of what the eyes see – it is called covetousness. When our eyes are opened to see lust, we are expected to turn away from it until it doesn’t seem lustful anymore. Pride of life affects us across many facets of life, especially in terms of relationships.
Round Up: Pastor Laide Olaniyan
Satan knows how to elevate vanity and cause man’s soul to long for it. The desire to have this world is what Satan wants us to have in our hearts. We as Christians, should be wary of the love of this world. We should not be deceived, the world doesn’t love us.
In the corporate environment, we should be able to relate with everyone normally but with a consciousness of not allowing worldly influence. We should do our jobs well and interact with our colleagues, but we should be able to draw boundaries to preserve ourselves. Every professional is to make people subject to a system. Our esteem in our careers is not supposed to be based on certifications and what not, but on the name of Christ.
Satan can open people’s eyes to begin to see the world, and the end of this is to make us become lifted beyond measure. This is why God teaches the wisdom of hiding – not being exposed to certain situations or estates before time.
