INTRODUCTION:

Glory to God! The Lord is leading us as a Local Assembly through Our Father, Pastor Emeka Egwuchukwu and Pastor ‘Laide Olaniyan into a new series in our Sunday School. This new series came by series of spiritual experiences, encounters and specific instructions given to the Servant of God concerning our collective posture concerning the coming harvest!

Why Study Along the Lines of The Great Harvest?

The reason for these series of lessons that we are starting today is to position us aright as a Church, align our hearts individually (and as a Church), and empower us to do all that God would require of us as a local assembly as pertaining to the harvest (Matthew 28:18-20).

God’s work on the face of the earth is not done yet! Hallelujah! Yes, the church has experienced so many of God’s moves and works on the earth in the last two thousand years in the earth (from the time of the Apostles of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early Church, to the times of the restoration of ‘Truths’ from the time of John Hus, Martin Luther through the late 1800s into the 1900s). We saw the amazing moves of the Spirit of God in the nineties, where the Holy Ghost moved so much upon the earth and across the world!

The Holy Ghost raised many horns that heralded that advent of the gospel which we now understand to be the milk (name of The Holy Ghost). Katherine Kuhlman, Marie Woodworth-Etter, Smith Wigglesworth, Alexander Dowie, Benny Hinn, Oral Roberts, Kenneth Copeland, T.L and Daisy Osborn, William Braham, Ayo Babalola, Benson Idahosa, Kenneth E Hagin and many more. These hallowed and choice vessels of God carried the torch of the gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ as they were allowed, called, anointed, and sent to preach. Without them, the course of the gospel would have been destroyed from off the earth.

Those were great days of great moves of the Spirit upon the earth in the Church. But the truth is GOD’S WORK AND MOVES ON EARTH ARE NOT OVER! Hallelujah! It is good to note that all those “works and moves” resulted in harvests. These harvests brought about the actualization of God’s purposes in differing measures, fulfilling biblical prophecies.

Understanding the Harvest (Luke 10:17-20)

Luke 10:19, shows the scope of the harvest, from milk to meat and strong meat (power over serpents and scorpions/name of The Holy Ghost; power of Christ/name of the Son; eternal power/name of the Father – Matthew 28:18). The harvest is very well defined in the scriptures, and the “sickle” (or gospel or word) to achieve or actualize the harvest are also well provided for. This is being highlighted so that the attitude towards the harvest would not be run with zeal alone, but also with doctrinal knowledge and understanding.

The milk is meant to raise harvesters, whom God would send into the field to harvest. Same with the meat (gospel of Christ), and strong meat (gospel of Everlasting Life). So, every biblical harvest is a bye product or produce of the word (or gospel). Anytime God begins to unveil or reveal any allocation of the word, He actually begins the process of initiating harvest.

Conclusion

The giving of the “Word of Righteousness” by God to His Servant Reverend Kayode Oyegoke (and other Servants of God who teach it) is God saying “it is time for another wave of harvest”. This we will look into in greater detail in the course of our lessons trusting that through the series, we shall be better positioned to co-labour with God in the impending harvests.
