Meeting: Season of the Spirit (Day 3)
Date: 16 Feb, 2025
Message: Gaining entrance into Everlasting Life
Minister: Pastor Clay Kamma-Odunze
- (Luke 1:80) – “And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.” It is the wisdom of God to hide us in the backside of the wilderness. Jesus went through this path. This is the spirit of this path, and we must learn to follow them that follow Christ.
1st Tongues and Interpretation
Aside from the many emissaries I sent into your midst, I am here.
I am here to make my goodness pass before you.
I have hidden you for you to see that which I have brought for you.
Beyond the emissaries, I am here.
Discern the ground where you stand
Discern the ground where you stand and take heed to the things that you are hearing.
They are not the words of angels, they are my speakings.
I will speak you into me
I will speak you into that secret place in me
I will talk you in
I will speak you to bring you into that secret place.
For I make my goodness to pass before you for you have found grace in my sight
Discern the ground where you stand
It’s not just emissaries, I am here.
Message Continues…
- We need to be grave in our hearts and discern the seasons we come into per time. We need to be careful about not commonizing sacred things. Some of us are presumptuous and arrogant that we know sacred things, because of this, understanding and revelation of Eternal life may not come to us the way they should.
- We can’t just enter Eternal Life through our preconceived notions and understanding – we enter by skill, judgment, understanding, light and truth. These are facilities for entrance that we shouldn’t miss, because the further we journey to enter Eternal Life, the stricter or higher the qualifications become. The ambition of every believer should be to enter into Eternal Life.
- Satan doesn’t want anyone to enter, so he presents the things we’ve done that have broken the code of entrance, as a way of preventing our entrance. In our ignorance, we keep doing things that break the code of entrance instead of doing the things that will make us become like God. Our entrance is our becoming. Entering into everlasting & eternal life makes us become it.
- For instance, an angel of the third heaven carries around his heaven because the third heaven has become a part of him. He comes with the life, authority, and dominion of his abode. He has become a dweller of the third heaven. Likewise, when we enter into everlasting and eternal life we should wear it like a garment so it becomes a part of us. Entering everlasting and eternal life is not just about sharing the revelation of what we’ve heard or seen, we’re meant to show forth a conversation of life instead – this is what defines us as dwellers of eternal life. A man’s conversation shows where he lives or where he dwells.
- Many of us hear the teachings of eternal life but have not yet ascended into the heavens, this is because the enemy has hindered our ascension through offence. He brings reminders of offence to us to prevent us from entrance. The reason for the offense is to make sure that we don’t ascend. The place of our abode is not by our dancing in church, by our speaking in tongues, or by our smiles. It is also not by our ability to rattle out scriptures to people. This is because a man can do all these things and not be journeying upwards, in fact, such a person may be journeying away from God and not towards God.
- (Prov. 17:24) – “Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; But the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.” – When we have understanding, we know how to journey. It is not by confessing we are already there. It is a step-by-step journey.
- (2 Pet 1:9) Blindness is not in our inability to read scriptures. Blindness is a result of a lack. It is what we do, our fear and obedience that opens our eyes (Psa. 25: 14; Mal. 2:5). Many say they fear God but do not fear man. If we don’t fear the one we see, we will not be able to fear the one we do not see. In our early stage of faith training which is the training of milk, God starts us with what we see. The principles of God are taught to us through the things we see and can relate with. If we can’t honor and fear our pastors and biological parents, God knows that we can’t fear Him. How we obey spiritual authorities reflects how we relate with our natural parents. Because of this lack, many of us can’t find the precept of the conversation of life we have received.
- Blindness is also the inability to see and evaluate light even when it is shining. No matter the intensity of the light, a blind man will still fall. A blind man is one who has been called to walk spiritual paths but has no understanding of how to walk in these paths. Every time he takes steps, he stumbles. Even when he tries to show a conversation of charity taught to him, he does it wrongly. There is something missing or lacking in his steps. One thing we must understand is that certain principles must inform how we walk.
- (2 Pet. 1:7-9) “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.”
- “These things” are things of our walk, of our journey. They are judgments. Judgment should be in us, in our souls. A man walks according to judgment (understanding) he has. What we understand is what we express. When someone does not know love, even when he tries, he will be loving wrongly. We can’t express the things of God without the understanding that He gives. Kindness, love, forgiveness e.t.c are done rightly by understanding. If we do otherwise, it is a sign of a lack.
- We should not deceive ourselves else we can be hearers of these things and we are not known in the spirit by them – “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matt. 7:22-23). We are not known by the healing anointings we have or miracles of healings that we experience by our faith, or by doing exploits in our business. They know us by our steps/walk in the spirit because our walk is a definition of where we are.
- Our enemies (demons, evil spirits) know our walk – “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.” (Acts 19:15-16). We should not be comfortable just being among believers. We must come to a place of spiritual legal standing and authority of the believer. This is what spirits know and honor.
- (Eph. 6:11) – “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Many offenses that keep us from loving our brethren as we ought to are usually an attack on us through the inverted wisdom of evil spirits. Some men have been raised with the wisdom to hurt people. However, with every temptation, God will not permit much more than we can bear or beyond what He has empowered us to do/overcome (1 Cor. 10:13). God allows temptations to birth ways in us for our salvation so that we can have entrance.
- When God allows certain brethren or people to come our way, it is usually because He has worked something in us and has given us the things that we need to overcome any potential offense that may arise regardless of what rank of evil spirits that’s gendering such offenses (Eph. 6:12).
- We are in a place where we have to be very sober. Our entrance will not be by making very aligned and spiritual prayers. Like Elisha, we need to look and observe to receive. The things we need for our journey come by observation. Wisdom comes from observation. It is in observing that we find how and what to do. King Solomon gained wisdom by observation (Prov. 6:6). Why we miss what every message or speaking of the Lord is communicating to us is because we failed to carefully observe.
- Our love walks and obedience is so we can see good when it comes. This exercise is for our profiting, it is for our good. We also need to have done the obedience of yesterday so that we are able to do the instruction of today.
- (2 Cor. 3:5) Those in Christ ought to know how to observe/examine ourselves to check if we are profiting in the life of the spirit. Many of us know how to examine others but not ourselves. The only person who is unable to examine himself is a reprobate.
- (Rom. 12:18) – “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” The peace between me and my brother and all men lies in me. What ought to lie in us to make us live peaceably is judgment. The peace God given to us is not an external instrument but internal one.
- (Rev. 3:21) Our arrival at God and His throne will be by how much of God we have become. Only God or men who are gods can sit on God’s throne. We need to be imitators of God: we should be like God. God is at peace with every man. God being at peace with us is not because we have obeyed Him every time, it is because the judgment of peace is within Him. He cannot not be at peace.
- Any reason we have not to relate easily with any man tells the place we are. This reason is from hell. When we struggle to love our brethren, we need to cry out for mercy. Our charity should not be conditional because Satan will always give us reasons not to love. “Love conquers all things”; love conquers every tough person/situation. Whenever we struggle to love, it shows we need to grow more spiritually. The Holy Ghost through love knows how to break the cords of wickedness.
- God put us in this world to make us gather as much life as we can gather because it determines the kind of life we will live in the hereafter. Many will be poor even though they escaped hell because they did not spend their time wisely acquiring the life of God during their time on earth. There will be many gnashing of teeth when we realize the opportunities and resources we had to gather life but missed.
- (1 Pet. 3:3-4) Some of us are caught up in dressing well but do not labor as much to dress up or beautify our souls. We are blind because we see another thing (not of God), often intending to uphold a reputation or an ambition.
- There are things we do like judging people based on what we hear from gossip. It shows we are still a baby. We need to be made of quick understanding in the fear of God else, we will continue to judge by what we see or hear. The Holyghost who instructs us to love one another and have one mind will not reveal to us evil speakings that distort our love arrangement towards men. Some say Holyghost revealed to them how someone has hurt them or offended them. Truth is, no matter your gift, wisdom will teach you quickly that anything that will speak against the ordinance of our walk or God’s nature is not from the Holy Ghost. A kingdom cannot be divided against itself. These are instruments of judgment that will make us know that this is from hell. Even if we see an angel tell us these things, if it goes against the ordinances and nature of God, it is from hell.
- Gossiping and evil speaking is a negative blessing to empower us to walk in hate. By what we have given our ears to, we will begin to find the grace to hate and lack the strength to love.
- We don’t gain life where there is peace, we gain life in war zones. When our eyes are open, it is a call to war, it is a call to do those things that the enemy has told us it is impossible to do. This is how we come into blessings.
- For example, to say sorry is very difficult, it feels like we are dying. Saying sorry is laying down our life many times for peace to reign. In every man, God has put the will to lay down his life, to go the extra mile but often we fail to see the purpose so we don’t obey God. We fail to see the glory and the reward of our obedience. (1 Tim. 4:8) The life that now is and which is to come promised to us has not become visible. This is as a result of a lack of understanding or a blindness. It also indicates there is a wrong understanding present in us.
(Heb. 12:2) – “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
- Even Jesus was motivated to lay down His life unto death. Many of us do not want to lay down our lives. We want to go the easy route, but it is only by our walk that the throne opens to us. We shouldn’t be distracted by giftings because even fallen angels give gifts. With every gift, we must constantly ask ourselves if we are doing the work of God and if we are obeying instructions that God gives us.
- Evil spirits want us to remain carnal, they want us to remain prideful and unforgiving. By indoctrination and the understanding they give, they teach us that we are superior to others. Many reasons we don’t lay down our life is because of pride. When the law of everlasting life is brought to us through teachings, it demands (laying down) our pride.
- Many of us ought to begin to see instructions of life and obey them quickly. As the Holy Spirit reveals things we ought to lay them down, we should be easily intreated, quick to change, quick to turn away, quick to obey.
- The way to ascend to God is to go down. Many times, what we don’t see is the blessing of the glory of life as we obey. This blessing affects both our spiritual and natural (health, finances e.t.c) life. It is fear that makes us not respond for fear of being taken for granted. We put so much effort into looking spiritual but not actually being spiritual. The reason is because of carnality present in the soul.
- Carnality is the law of a fallen spirit that makes it difficult for us to be subject to the law of God. Carnality will always give us reasons to stay in sin i.e in direct opposite to what God is saying. A man or woman can be subject under the dominion of sin (Rom. 6:14).
(Rom. 8:1-2) – “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death”
- Some attempt therapy to break free from sin, but therapy is not potent a law to do so, it is still under the law of sin and death. It is only the law of Christ that can break a man free from sin. When Christ is introduced and instructions are given to us, by our walk/obedience, we disentangle ourselves from the power of the law of sin and death.
- Some of us believers are quick to say we are no longer in condemnation, but the Bible was clear; it is those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit who are no longer in condemnation. Meaning it is possible to be in Christ and still walk after the flesh by our unwillingness to yield to the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, by our choosing to remain carnal.
- To walk after the spirit is to obey the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. This law is in direct opposition to the law of sin and death (flesh life). Flesh is a conversation/doctrine of life of a fallen spirit, so also Christ is a conversation of life of the Spirit of Christ. What frees us from a power is also another power. What we obey shows what has power over us; Christ or the devil.
- We won’t know the Eternal God without knowing His law. Every law is a giver of life. How we know we are beginning to lay hold on a life in the Spirit, that is, Christ, Everlasting, and Eternal Life, is when we begin to see instructions/commandments of that life and we obey them. We inherit life when we live out the life.
- As we do obedience repeatedly, we will develop the taste bud to keep doing charity. It is only the first time that it feels difficult, it gets easier to do over time. What Satan brings to us as persecution and temptation is an opportunity to gain more life, it is for a promotion to the next kingdom. We must be quick to come out of wrong frames, wrong habits and natures and be separate from them so that the heavenly Father will receive us (2 Cor. 6:17).
- For those that have mood swings, we need to come out of it. In heaven, there is only one spirit mood and it is Christ. It is called the mind of Christ (Phil. 2:5). Christ is glorious and Christ is the strength to see the Everlasting Father. God wants to lift people from the miry clay. (Heb. 5:13-14) The word of righteousness gives us the skill to master how to live out the life of Christ. This word when used to a degree makes us teachers. Men who have become teachers are Fathers. When we still have a need for milk, something is wrong somewhere. There are some sentiments we hold on to that show that we are a baby, and that we are not wise. We are meant to master how to live with the word of righteousness and it starts with Christ.
- It’s high time we wake up from our slumber. Everlasting life is before us. It is time to grow. There is war over us because of the investment of heaven over us as a people.
THE END.
